As a wedding photographer, nothing makes us happier than seeing all of the details that you have spent months preparing for your big day! Whether it be the invitation suite, jewelry, or dress, it’s all part of the story. We are here to capture the beauty of all the hard work and love that you have put into planning your dream day. To ensure we have time to get all of the photos you want, here is a guide on what detail and flat lay items to bring for us to photograph before your first look or ceremony.
Your Shoes and Accessories
From your engagement ring to your wedding bands and shoes, these will be some of our favorite details! If you would like us to capture these in a flat lay style with other detail items, please make sure they are gathered together when you arrive. We recommend bringing along any other special accessories such as hairpieces and headbands too.
The Stationery Suite
We love capturing beautiful stationery suites! This can include anything from loose florals, save-the-dates, invitation cards, wax seals/stamps used in invitations or envelopes. This is a great way to also incorporate some sentimental items such as heirloom jewelry or necklaces/pins. The possibilities are endless!
Flower Bouquets & Perfume Bottle
If you have a bouquet for your bridesmaids or flower arrangements for your reception tables, we suggest gathering them together before we start shooting so that we can capture them in their full glory. Don’t forget about a special touch like including a perfume bottle with everyone’s favorite scent! It will add an extra bit of sparkle to your photos.
In the End...
When it comes time for us to do our job as photographers on the wedding day itself, having everything already gathered ahead of time will help us stay organized and on task throughout the day. While this list may seem daunting at first glance, trust us – taking care of things beforehand will free up more time on the actual wedding day so you can spend more quality time with each other and those who matter most in life!
Thank you for considering Southern Palms Studio for all your photography needs! We look forward to chatting with you soon!
